Peter Yeager
MS PT

Peter is co-owner and founder of Dynamic Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, along with his partner, Elizabeth Perlstein. He has over 16 years clinical experience. Peter received his undergraduate degree from Hillsdale College and his Masters in Physical Therapy from Mercy College. Peter has worked as an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College’s PTA program and has over 10 years experience working at NSUH/LIJ at Glen Cove. Through his experience at the hospital he has worked with patients with various types of neurological disorders, multi-traumas, and orthopedic procedures with emphasis on total joint replacements. Throughout his career, Peter has worked extensively with general orthopedic and sports injuries, and has experience working with all type of athletes from pee-wee to professional. Peter has been very active into sports his whole life playing college football, competing in triathlons, bodybuilding and Crossfit. He has competed in many bodybuilding competitions and in 2009 won the INBF World Championship.

Elizabeth A. Perlstein, MAPT, DPT

Elizabeth is co-owner and founder of Dynamic Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation along with her partner, Peter Yeager. Dr. Perlstein has been practicing Physical Therapy for 17 years in a vast spectrum of settings. From elementary schools to acute and long term rehabilitation facilities, her favorite is out-patient orthopedics where she is able to work with the greatest variety of diagnoses, and patient-types. Dr. Perlstein began her career as a student-athlete at University of Maryland where she played lacrosse and was a part of the 1992 Women’s Lacrosse National Championship Team. She earned a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Touro College, and later received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. She has been a member of the APTA since 1995. Dr. Perlstein is a Huntington resident, and when she’s not keeping up with her active family, she can be found running, biking and swimming competitively in local triathlons and road races. She was recently named 2011 Runner’s Edge Female Short-Course Triathlete of the Year.
